When designing ICU English, we wanted to make English language learning flexible and easy. Our target is to make learning English accessible using any digital device, but also make sure our learners progress to become confident users of English. By utilizing our own experience in the field, along with learner feedback, we have a customized and effective solution for you.
Our digital platform uses video content covering everyday life topics to engage the learner. We use our content to help you acquire key vocabulary, along with developing your language skills, like listening and speaking. We let our learners engage and discover English, by giving you the chance to practice English.
Our platform is organized into six levels, from Beginner to Advanced, with each level containing a number of units of learning. The units of learning give you natural input of English, followed by opportunities to focus on vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. Each unit has activities, games and quizzes to give you maximum practice. Our units of learning are aligned with CEFR, an international standard for defining language ability.
ICU English can be used by educational institutions like schools and colleges, by companies to advance workforce language skills and governments. Since technology is a part of our life and used in education and business, our platform can be used as a blended learning tool, in tandem with direct instruction.

Communicating in English confidently is the goal of anyone who wants to learn English. Whether it’s a social conversation, a class discussion or business presentation, speaking English coherently and listening attentively is key. For clear and effective communication to take place, speakers need to have proficient English pronunciation skills. For this reason, ICU English has developed the ICU English Master Pronunciation course.
Our Master Pronunciation allows students to advance their listening and speaking skills by hearing how words sound and seeing how sounds are formed. With video models showing how to make each sound, animated graphics, and native language instruction, students learn where to place the tongue, teeth, and lips to pronounce each sound. Learners can record their voices for comparison to native speakers, using the Smart Pronunciation tool. Additional features draw direct comparisons among similar sounds.
Tutorials in Master Pronunciation focus on a variety of suprasegmental skills such as rhythm, stress, and intonation. Each of these tutorials includes extensive practice opportunities to ensure students master these key aspects of English pronunciation.
Hundreds of minimal pair items allow students to improve their aural discrimination skills, and sound-specific tongue twisters provide more pronunciation practice. These may be randomly presented or selected by language background. This flexibility enables learners to focus on sounds that are problematic for them.
After completing the Master Pronunciation course you will be able to:
